Set in the Mendip Hills and with glorious views across the rolling Somerset countryside, that alone would make Winscombe Cricket Club a wonderful place to play cricket. But throw in a superbly maintained ground and wicket, top class facilities, an excellent clubhouse and the association with the broader Winscombe Sports Clubs to provide year-round sporting involvement, whether as a player or supporter and you have something truly special.
We run teams for all; boys and girls, men and women and we open our doors to youngsters from age five upwards. The ground features top class turf wickets, a newly refurbished artificial wicket, two brand new practice nets, an electronic scoreboard, full-length wicket covers and a warm welcome in the well equipped clubhouse. We are looking to add a bowling machine to our portfolio for 2008.
Add to all of that the services of one of the finest players and coaches in the south west in the shape of South African Siya Sibiya and it is clear that Winscombe CC offers an unrivalled package for cricketers of all ages. |
